Jo is a registered Psychologist with a Master of Professional Psychology. She has over seven years’ experience working with adults across a wide range of concerns including generalised anxiety, social anxiety, health anxiety, OCD, panic disorder, agoraphobia, trauma, depression, self-esteem issues, grief and loss, sleep disorders and pain management.
Jo brings a sense of grounding and warmth to her work with people. Her approach is both optimistic and person-centred, working collaboratively with her clients to establish goals and work towards practical and positive change. She applies an evidence-based approach to address clients’ concerns. Jo is trained in clinical interventions including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Trauma Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapies and Mindfulness techniques.
As an adjunct to individual counselling, Jo has over five years of experience facilitating groups. Additionally, she is a facilitator for Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) workshops, providing vital training to health professionals and the general community.
